I took advantage of the warmer weather this weekend and worked on some spray painting projects. My creative design juices have been on over drive as of late and I am bouncing around ideas all over the place! I got cracking of sprucing up my home office aka craft room aka second guest bedroom. I didn't want to spend a ton as I don't work from home typically and I don't know how long this will get to stay my girly room since our two boys currently share a bedroom. I threw together a bunch of stuff that we already head and am making over some finds in order to give the room a cohesive look. Hopefully I will have a real sneak peek for you in the next couple of days.
Do you have a multi purpose room in your house? Do you have a girly space of your own or a man cave?

Link Lisa @ Shine Your Light has a great cornice board tutorial. I am hoping to use her advise for hanging the new cornice in our bathroom. Come by and check it out! |
Love this color combo!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors too! Is the pretty pink chair a restoration by you or did you purchase that new? So pretty!
ReplyDeleteDenise-I wish I had that chair! Maybe World Market will sponsor me so that I can get one. I am always looking for chairs in this style but they are hard to come by.
DeleteI totally feel your desire for a workspace and somewhere girly in an all guy house! My boys continue to share a room so i can keep my home office! I love your plans!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Beth! I am hoping my boys will share a room for a very long time.
DeleteOh My Goodness, I LOVE the bright pink chair!!! I am out numbered with males in my house too, LOL. I have a small pink and ivory lumbar pillow with cute pink pom pom trim sitting atop a navy sofa in my home office. The navy sofa has white cord detailing all around - my office is my little piece of heaven for this girlie mom & wife :)

Us girls have to sneak in pink wherever we can! Your office sounds lovely Darlene.
DeleteRobin that was a sweet surprise to see a link to my cornice at the end of your post - thank you!!!!!! I am loving your design boards, so pretty! Are the curtains the Ikea Sanelas? I did a girl's room with them, using a touch of pink as an accent too, I loved how it came out and wish it was my own room :) The chandelier on your board is gorgeous too, love love love! Thanks for linking up to Best of the Nest, I enjoy your style so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa! Yes, the curtains are Sanelas from IKEA. I can't wait to hang them and the chandy this weekend. I hope to have a full room reveal for the next Best of the Nest.
