Screen Porch Updates

It’s been a minute since I last posted. This time of year I tend to get a lot of questions about our screens porch so I figured that it was time to post an update.

Last Summer I refinished the dark metal table to look like a light driftwood finish. The new faux driftwood finish on our metal table helps lighten the dining side of the porch.

Our porch has a cozy and timeless feel with the classic rattan sofa and swivel chairs, these are my favorite Pottery Barn look for less option from Walmart.

Can you spot what’s different about the fireplace in this picture? 

The art for one thing. This isn’t a Samsung Frame TV, although we have one in our living room. This is a standard smart TVthat I airplay onto when shooting pictures of the porch or when we entertain.

This a peel and stick tile that I got at Hobby Lobby last year. A couple tiles are peeling so I need to figure out how to fix them.

If you're looking to make any changes or additions to cozy up your porch, here are a few ideas to consider:

• Add some outdoor throw pillows or cushions in complementary colors or patterns to your rattan furniture for added comfort and style.
• Consider adding some potted plants or a hanging plant to bring some greenery and life to your porch. I love to add large majesty palm trees! Pothos and ferns are also great.
• Adding some string lights or lanterns can create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Indoor/outdoor rugs add a pop of color or texture to your porch.

Overall, our porch is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. With a few small additions, it can become an even more inviting space.
