Check out my previous post if you want to read about the first part of our trip in Paris. After spending 2 nights in Paris we moved on to the next stop. We flew from CDG to MXP Milan Malpensa early Saturday morning.

Our flight was scheduled to land in Milan at 10:05am but it was very delayed. We planned this entire trip ourselves so that we could take full advantage of my Team Member Travel Benefits through Hilton Worldwide. We hadn't planned out how we were going to get from MXP to our hotel in Milan Centrale. An Uber or a cab was going to be very expensive and there is a train station at MXP. We missed the first train by 2 minutes but they come about every 20 minutes. It's a short ride to Milan Centrale. From there we took an Uber to our hotel even though it was only half a mile or so because we didn't really know where we were going and we had our bags.
I recommend the following apps for figuring out how to get around within Europe: Omio & Rome2Rio
The red light above inside the cathedral shines to show the location of one of the nails from the crucifixion of Christ.
One thing I will note, there are no public restrooms in the Duomo. I had to run across the street to the Galleria, up 4 flights of stairs, and then pay for a pass to the toilette.
We stopped for a bite to eat at San Carlo al Due
My morning cappuccino at Hyatt Centric Milano
At this point Nick was trying to figure out how to download our tickets purchased from StubHub for the AC Milan game.
We had to go to the train station to rent a car. Then drive to the studio to figure out the ticket situation. The stadium personnel then sent us to Casa Milan...it was like a crazy tilt-a-whirl situation.
Long story short, we got scammed and had to buy all new tickets. Once that was taken care of at around 2pm, we headed to Lake Como.
We toured around for a couple of hours and then headed back to Milan to get ready for the game.
We woke up the next morning and headed to Milano Centrale Station for our train ride to Florence. We arrived late and had to pay to upgrade our tickets to first class to take a later train.
I hope you all have a fabulous week!
