Home office Reveal!

Sunday, March 15, 2015

I have been a bit lax blogging lately because we have had company the last couple of weekends-my Bestie Kim came to visit and my parents.  I am so proud of Kim!  She signed up for Team in Training Marathon to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  You can check out her progress on her new blog here.

I finally photographed my desk area in my new home office aka craft room aka guest room. It still needs paint and some artwork hung over the bed, but it's as good as it is going to get for now.

As I mentioned in previous posts, I had most of the items already in our house somewhere or in this room including the desk, bed, artwork, chair and lamp. If you follow me on Instagram then you know this black chair won't be here for long.

I have had this adorable Lowe's chandy sitting in the corner of the room for months and finally got around to giving it a coat of gold spray paint.  Nick was kind enough to hang it for me a couple of weeks ago.

As I mentioned earlier, the black chair isn't staying for long.  I found these guys at Goodwill and couldn't resist brining one home. I am pretty sure I am going to paint my new  chair raspberry or white.  But first I need to settle on a fabric. Have you seen any great fabrics lately?

I would have loved to use the pink velvet leopard fabric below, but it was sold out.

This fabric could be a fun option too, but I am not sold yet.

Do you have a space in your house that serves multi-purposes?  I feel like we all do now days.

Home office aka Mom Cave sneak peek

Thursday, February 26, 2015

OMG!  Raleigh shut down today as a result of 1 inch of snow yesterday that melted completely. Now the forecast says we might get a foot of snow!  Good thing I have a bottle of wine handy.

I showed you my home office design board in my last post.  Here's a sneak peek of the update in progress.

I fell in love with the gold and white chevron dish and cup at Pier 1.  They just had to come home with me.  I think they were intended for a bathroom, but they are perfect for my desk. I can't seem to find them online.  If I do, I will add a link.

In the mean time, here's a couple more gorgeous home offices that I have rounded up.

Please pin from original source.

I can't wait to install the new curtains and chandelier! Stay tuned for more.

Home Office and Craft Room and Guest Room

Monday, February 23, 2015

Thank you for sticking with me after my whining complaining about bathroom lighting.  Since we can't find lights that we love within our budget we are going to get the room painted, hang new mirrors, hardware and cornice.  But first we (Nick) have to fill the nail holes and caulk the molding.

I took advantage of the warmer weather this weekend and worked on some spray painting projects.  My creative design juices have been on over drive as of late and I am bouncing around ideas all over the place!  I got cracking of sprucing up my home office aka craft room aka second guest bedroom.  I didn't want to spend a ton as I don't work from home typically and I don't know how long this will get to stay my girly room since our two boys currently share a bedroom.  I threw together a bunch of stuff that we already head and am making over some finds in order to give the room a cohesive look. Hopefully I will have a real sneak peek for you in the next couple of days.

Do you have a multi purpose room in your house?  Do you have a girly space of your own or a man cave?
